Hi, I'm Nicole.
I'm a technical writer with a background in healthcare technology, SaaS support, web development, UX, and digital publishing.
I've spent much of my career in the space between complicated systems and the people trying to use them. That's probably why I ended up caring so much about good documentation.
I started in healthcare technology, where I helped implement and support a CMMS managing more than 1,600 medical devices. I created SOPs, work instructions, training materials, compliance resources, and end-user documentation for clinical engineering teams.
Later, I moved into web technology and digital publishing. I supported WordPress publishers, troubleshot technical problems, wrote help content and tutorials, and maintained knowledge bases.
Somewhere in there, I also studied graphic design, UX, and front-end development. That combination changed the way I think about documentation. The words matter, but so do structure, hierarchy, navigation, and whether someone can find the answer they need without digging for it.
I write the docs I always wished I had.
